Connect MicroBOS to FreeAgent and each quote your customer accepts becomes an invoice in FreeAgent, with the customer and the quote lines filled in. You check it and send it from FreeAgent.

How a quote reaches FreeAgent.
Connect FreeAgent
In MicroBOS, open Accounting and choose FreeAgent. You sign in to FreeAgent and allow MicroBOS to create invoices and contacts.
The customer accepts your quote
Your customer accepts the quote online, and MicroBOS books the job.
The invoice appears in FreeAgent
MicroBOS adds the customer as a FreeAgent contact and creates the invoice from the quote lines.
Send it from FreeAgent
You check the invoice in FreeAgent and send it as you would any other.
What the FreeAgent link covers
What it does
- Creates an invoice in FreeAgent for each accepted quote, never two for the same quote.
- Adds the customer as a contact in FreeAgent.
- Copies each quote line with its description, quantity and price.
- Logs each attempt as sent or failed on the Accounting screen, and tries again up to three times.
What it does not do
- Send or chase the invoice.
- Match a returning customer to their existing FreeAgent contact. Each invoice adds a new contact.
- Record payments or read anything back from FreeAgent.
- Set VAT. FreeAgent applies your own settings.

Does MicroBOS work with FreeAgent?
Yes. MicroBOS creates an invoice in FreeAgent when a customer accepts a quote online.
Will FreeAgent send the invoice to my customer?
No. MicroBOS creates the invoice and you send it from FreeAgent when you are ready.
Can I use FreeAgent and Xero together?
No. A company connects one accounting system at a time.
How do I disconnect FreeAgent?
Open Accounting in MicroBOS and disconnect. MicroBOS stops creating invoices and leaves your FreeAgent records as they are.
Which plan includes FreeAgent?
FreeAgent is part of Business OS at £50 a month. Business OS is coming soon and is not on sale yet.
